About a week ago we got out on a hot Sunday night to engage in a bit more fence art. I decided to try a different technique and did a bit of weaving, I suppose you would call it. It was a bit quicker – so this only took two and a half hours, not including the finger knitting time.
We used the same text as the Newcastle fence so see here if you want to know the background of the text. This piece of land has never been built on, and we suspect is owned by the local council, but not sure on that. Land values in our area are going up about 25% a quarter at the moment.
Enjoy the pics.

Excellent work!!!!! Imagine if people were doing this all across Melbourne….?! Talk about grassroots….and it doesn’t involve paper or ink!
I hope this gets into the local paper – it would make a great picture and story
I reckon this means that Kellie will be emailing us her pics soon
I ran into this picture a couple of days ago: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jennyhart/1715947834/ Chain-stitch and feather stitch on fence. The possibilities are endless!
yeah all you need is the material that will stick out visually and isn’t too hard to thread through the gaos in the fence and you’re away.
How bout some Swedish fence pics eh?
