Sometimes I think Craftster is getting too straight for my warped wee mind. But then I always find a few new things to remind me that I’m not the only bent one out there.
so, my best friend’s birthday is in a week, it’s christmas, and in a month she is driving to mexico and leaving me forever…
dangerous?
i think yes.
so i made her a cute little box for her switchblade.
I just have this thing against barbies, ya know?Continue Reading →
Hello everyone
I hope those of you who allow christmas into your lives had a wonderful day. I hope those of you who don’t also had a wonderful day celebrating the end of all that annoying music for another year.
We had a super day with lots of great presents including some super handmade presents which I’ll share with you all later when I get some photos organised.
I though I should share a wee gift with all my beloved readers, especially those of you who actually cross stitch. Those of you who don’t might find this one enough inspiration. I made this pattern in the tradition of a cross stitch sampler. Samplers are designed to give you practise at different techniques and patterns but still end up looking interesting enough to stick on your wall if you so desire.

Finally after much fussin around and technological crises and a short swim in the toilet, I finally have a cross stitch kit online!
I’ve got three ready for sale and they made their very successful debut at the Melbourne Craft Mafia Market.
So the first one online is the Water Saving Cross Stitch Kit. When it’s finished it looks like this!

Anyone who purchases one of these kits gets a free zine!
It’s the latest piece of gold from Cross Yr Stitches. Don’t ya just love it! It’s a Pat Robertson quote. And looks quite beautiful as a cross stitch if you ask me. Not sure how big it is but it would look pretty cool on a jacket I reckon.
Goodness, it keeps feckin up the picture so click here if you can’t see it.
Why did it take me so long to get around to this?
Here’s my favourites from the recent Craftster feminist swap. You can see them all here. You can see my contribution here.
But on to my favourites!

When I design my cross stitches I love to look in old sampler books for inspiration, and I want to share a veritable treasure of samplers I found a while ago: Antique pattern library. Loads and loads of beautiful old patterns, scanned and made into PDF files, free to download! And there’s not only patterns for cross stitch, but for knitting, crochet and other techniques too. Check it out!
Goodness me sometimes they all jump out at you at once.
There’s some nice wee crafty developments that I want to draw your attention to cause they’re pretty bloody interesting.

Goodness, it’s taken me AGES to get around to this. So for those of you who missed out (suckers), check out how cool the market was. And I didn’t even take any photos of the vodka!
Oh and for those who missed it, we got CENSORED by MX. Which was bloody hilarious. Apparently Respect Your Box is way too ris-kay for Murdoch Media Inc. so they whited it out. Which made it all that much more amusing for us.
See ya at the next one! JAN 7!!!!!
