Big poo, small poo

I loved Kakariki’s post about the knitted poo a while ago, and immediately knew that it would be perfect for one of my friends. She has this amazing bizarre sense of humor and is one of very, very few I know who would use the phrase “my prettiest vomit” as if it’s a perfectly everyday thing to say. (The vomit was blueberry pie in snow, imagine the colour combinations…)

So she got these for her birthday this weekend:

She got one big poo, and one small. The big poo is filled with wheat grains, so if it gets a few minutes in the microwave it’ll be all nice and warm. The small one is stuffed with lavender, perfect for the linen cupboard!

And they’re both so easy to make, basically made of cylinders, with just a little shaping in the ends to get that special poo-feeling.

Hey, did you pick the lavender filled poo idea from the comments I exchanged with Kakariri about her knitted poo ? If so, I’m really proud ;o ) If not, well, too bad for my not-so-original-ideas ! Anyway your knitting is gorgeous (I think a gorgeous poo would indeed fit very well with a pretty vomit, lol). How did you do the pointy poo ? Just by reducing regularly the number of knits ? (I’m an absolute beginner in knitting… only made a scarf and it wasn’t totally straight, lol)

Yeah, I definitely got the idea of making it scented from the post and comments to it. :) And lavender felt like such a classical choice, so i just had to use that.

The pointy end was really easy to make, I improvised as I went along and decreased a few stitches, knitted a couple of rows and then decreased a few stitches again, knitted one row and cast off.
