A Crapper of a Wedding Expo

I had to share this one. Now anyone who knows me, knows I’m not really a huge fan of the institution of marriage. I find it a lot more constructive to decide every day that I want to spend the rest of my live with my beloved (awww).

So I was pretty amused by this competition they had at the Christchurch Wedding Expo. The brief was to design a wedding dress with the equivalent of up to 16 rolls of toilet paper. I’m not sure if this was intentional satire or not, but I thought it worked really well in that regard.

Here’s the winner

    Awwwww.You’re just a big old romantic aren’t you? ;)
I thought the toilet paper dress was so funny. But I really doubt that they ment it to be ironic in that way.

(By the way I’m not much for marriage either.. Plus I don’t believe in god, so there would be no point in getting married in front of a priest. Also I’m not that much for the law either, so there would be no point in getting married by a jugde ;))

Do you think it was a subliminal way to say “Marriage is like shit” ? :-)

I admit that if you take off the veil and flowers, the paper dress is quite pretty, in fact…
