i can’t wait to hear how tonight went! i wish i could have been there!!

Thanks for organizing last night, Dr Joyce so interesting, and I’ve been thinking about radical creative actions all day. Here in Melbourne we’ve had a really strong tradition of radical craft over the last 20 years, and I think it’s because of the big grass roots base of environmental groups here. Quilts, banners and fence weaving are really effective ways for diverse groups to work together - I’m thinking in particluar of actions such as Aidex, Stop Jabiluka and the Victorian Aids quilt, things that really got people thinking and doing and inspired to change. Thanks again, I really enjoyed it. Could have listened to a 3 hour presentation!
Cheers, Cindy.
Thanks Cindy! Great to have you there! I’d love to learn more about Melbourne’s radical craft history. Those are exactly the sort of stories that we want to collect on the wiki.
I’ll be sorting out the audio and footage and uploading it so those who couldn’t be there in person can check it out too.
