Who is Mr Fish ? Anyway he tells very well what I feel concerning soldiers.
I just would add :
1) I would not say something is a necessity when I know that the only way to not need it would be that there is not any : If there was no army in the world, we would need no army to defend ourselves against invasive armies…Am i wrong ?
2) I won’t ask anybody to die for me as I don’t consider my life more important than another human’s, so please don’t ask me to be grateful to those who died to “protect me”. I you wanna go to war, go, but don’t ask me to admire that (and if you didn’t kill any innocent civilian, it would be great, thanks)
